Konzeption und Design eines adaptiven Handbikes für manuelle Rollstühle.

In Kooperation mit der Firma Alber entstand ein kompaktes Adaptivbike, welches als Vorbau am Alltagsrollstuhl befestigt werden kann.

Über zwei Handkurbeln, welche vor dem Brustkorb synchron angeordnet sind, kann sich der Rollstuhlfahrer fortbewegen. Zusätzlich zur eigenen Muskelkraft kommt ein von der Firma Alber entwickelter Pedelec Nabenmotor zum Einsatz, welcher den Fahrer bis zu einer Geschwindigkeit von 27 km/h unterstützt. Somit kann er schnell große Distanzen ohne große körperliche Anstrengungen zurücklegen. Dies steigert die Mobilität von Rollstuhlfahrern und deren soziale Integration.

Hauptaugenmerk bei der Gestaltung des Handbikes Trio lag neben der technischen Verbesserung der gesamten Antriebseinheit auf einer maximalen Benutzerfreundlichkeit und einem aufgeräumten und einheitlichen Erscheinungsbild.

Conception and design of an adaptive handbikes for manual wheelchairs.

A handbike is specially designed for disabled people transportation.
In cooperation with the company Alber a compact adaptive bike is originated, which can be mounted as a porch on everyday wheelchair.

About two winches arranged synchronously in front of your chest, the wheelchair can move with the arms using the cranks. In addition to its own muscle power a Pedelec hub motor developed by the company Alber is used, which supports the driver up to a speed of 27 km / h. So the user can cover long distances quickly without great physical effort. This increases the mobility of wheelchair users and their social integration.

Main focus of designing the handbike Trio was, beside the technical improvement of the entire drive unit, to create a maximum of usability and a tidy and uniform appearance.
